Personal Care When looking at personal care products, what I have seen to be marketed (especially the benefits) and what is actually needed are sometimes worlds apart from each other. Personally I believe that the #No-Poo Movement is the way to go. Instead of using shampoo, you rinse with warm water then comb and brush your hair. A comb is something with one set of teeth or teeth 5mm to 10mm apart from each other, the purpose is to untangle knots. A brush being something with bristles more like a massive toothbrush, the purpose of spreading the natural oils from root to tip. My personal solution is making a small bowl full of warm water, adding into it either a bath salts mix (including carrier and essential oils), or just a spoonful of salts and a few drops of a particular essential oil I am in the mood for. Then pouring it over my hair with one hand, and combing my hair with the other hand to work the water solution in as much as possible onto the scalp. What also works well is to put in some conditioner in the morning (from root to tip, moist not dripping), and rinsing it out at night or the next morning. Just to have it extra special for needed occasions. Like Tuesdays. Other than that I would recommend you start thinking about the fact that your skin absorbs everything on it. So when you think "ag a soap is a soap" or "surely something harmful to me wouldn't be sold at retail", think again. Most of us have seen the old adverts for cocaine as a children's toothache solution?! Even the experts are still learning, and maybe the answers are more natural and organic.
